The Fundacion Desarrollo del Caribe has been established to protect and promote the best interests of all parties involved with, or affected by, the development of the Caribbean Basin of Panama. Through the establishment of a collaborative network and resource base comprised of individual stakeholders ranging from investors, to local community leaders and government officials the foundation seeks to aid in the:

• Protection of the investments made by individual members in land acquisitions and tourism and or residential developments in the area of the Caribbean Coast of Panama
• Conservation of the natural environment by actively educating and promoting sustainable development for investors, developers, local communities and other stakeholders in the region
• Preservation of the traditions, culture and quality of life of the people living in the local communities in the Caribbean with respect to their individual needs
• Collaboration with local and national governmental authorities in order to work out a legal, social, and ecological framework for all stakeholders in the Caribbean to abide by
• Sharing of information between the members of the foundation concerning local developments, new projects, infrastructure, social and ecological issues, and legal issues/frameworks
